If you do that, I'd also KILL to see a 3D-printed battery enclosure that allows for removable 18650 cells. It would of course be thicker, but I'd be okay with that.

If you look at the thread regarding the RD-5R firmware version, I think it'll become pretty clear pretty quickly that the hardware is vastly inferior to the GD-77. You'll have to decide if that's overridden by your power needs - they're cheap, after all. There are plans for battery eliminators onlin...

Based on that page's info, you're still using a device that's not certified and thus still afoul of the law.
Ideally don't do that with OpenGD77 as it's not cool to pull this firmware into that mix.

Welcome! I don't believe there's a blank codeplug - there's one that comes with the CPS editor, which you can pretty quickly delete things from and add your own. At least that's what I did.
