Re: Seeing Callsign Instead Of ID
Is there a way to see the callsign of the person talking rather than their radio ID or am I configuring something wrong? John K9WXX Woodstock, IL 146.520 Here's My Number, Call Me Maybe Hi John! Yes, there are 2 ways how to see the callsign (and probably the name as well) of the talking person. 1) ...

Re: Changing channels with different Rx group lists
There is even more confusion with zones: If you change zone by SK2 (Blue) + Up/Down, the first channel in the zone is selected, but the contact index in the RxG is kept even if the RxG is different. But if you change the zone by selection from the menu, the contact number is reset to 1. With regards...

Re: Changing the squelch level
Hi! When I go to an analog channel (individual squelch setting not applied on it) and then press left or right button, first press causes the same: The Squelch bar appears and the squelch level is LOWERED (yes, even for the right button). My global squelch setting is well tuned to be on the first st...

Re: Synchronizing 2 radios to make duplex repeater ?
Hi! Many thanks for explaining the problem. It's clear now. I didn't read the DMR standard deeply enough so I didn't get the info that the TS number is not a part of the TS frame and that it should be synchronized according to the CACH. OK, so I can leave this dream and I'll start to dream about som...

Synchronizing 2 radios to make duplex repeater ?
I can't understand the reason, why we can't use 2 GD-77s for full duplex repeater construction. In the list of features not going to be implemented, there's the following: Full duplex repeater using 2 GD-77 connected to PiStar This is not technically possible, because : 1. Its not possible to contro...

Re: Slight ticking sound
This is a known problem. Which has been reported many times. However none of my radios have this problem , and I have all radios supported by the firmware, so I have no way to analyse the cause of the problem hI! I have 2 GD-77s both are fine, they don't generate any "motorboarding" sound. However,...

Re: DTMF Contacts
Just a thought.... are we muting the microphone input while generating DTMF Tones? If not then that might explain why the volume control has an unexpected effect. Yes we are. The modulator has mux on its input and we switch it between DTMF sender for the tones and "nothing" for the pauses. Just ver...

Re: DTMF Contacts
Is this by design? Or is there a way to play the tone Tx at a fixed volume and not have the volume control knob control the TX volume? Alan Hi Alan! Which radio are you using ? I just tested it on GD-77 and the DTMF deviation is not depending on the Rx volume knob setting. Maybe a different model b...

thanks, the bug is fixed. It ignores TS on simplex now, while on the duplex RPT it behaves as before. Perfect work and thanks to Daniel as well!

Operation on simplex HS and disabled TS filter
Hi! When operating on a simplex hotspot with TS filter disabled, the received TG (even if it matches the current TX TG) is displayed randomly either in normal or in inverse text, depending on the timeslot which the radio is receiving (simplex hotspots transmit the same on both timeslots) - if it cat...
