Re: Port To CS800D

Sure, we are already aware of the noise issues of the MD380 and similar radios displays. However, I still haven't been able to reproduce the issue myself, so if you could tell me on which frequencies you can hear the noise, maybe I'll be able to keep this in better consideration while writing the U...

Re: Port To CS800D

FYI. I had a look at the Ailuance HD1 firmware update and the firmware file is embedded inside an exe, so its difficult to know whether its in the same format as the GD-77 or not. It probably depends on whether this is really a TYT radio which is rebranded by Ailuance, and they wrote their own firm...

Re: [MMDVMHost] Hotspot output power setting.

I don't know if a DMR power meter actually exists. I discussed this with a technician who repairs Motorola DMR radios, and the radios have a special "Test" mode where they transmit a carrier with no DMR pulses etc, so that the technician can test the power output i think it would be something like ...

Re: [MMDVMHost] Hotspot output power setting.

I don't have any way to measure power here at all, I have a fairly junky SWR meter but wouldn't be useful for this at all. I've eyeballed a few SWR/Power/Frequency counter doodads from places and all of them say no DMR. the only case where you'll NEED a DMR-specific power meter is one particular Mo...

Install the OpenGD77 CPS software , with its drivers Install the OpenGD77 firmware Turn on you DM-1801 In the CPS, Extras menu, OpenGD77 Support , make a backup of everything (EEPROM/Flash/Calibration/MCU). i wasnt able to do that without openDM1...

yup, its a 1702. baofeng LOVES renaming their radios and changing their cosmetics from time to time, starting with 5R/82.

Re: Base default band limits on radio ID?

Well, I’m glad I asked before looking into it further. Should we change the default limits to the ones the hardware is advertised to support then? The consensus here seems to be that limits should be on only optionally. and probably user-configurable as one might want to limit their TX at arbitrary...

The one from the TH-D74 is really nice, but it's a transflective screen, not the same ballpark...
wish chinese would adopt it as well. preferably as a drop-in replacement for 380's.
