Re: [Solved] Pi-Star cannot receive OpenGD77's signal

You may want to change the orientation of the 2 antennas on the hotspot, because it stands those 2 antenna are oriented for maximum coupling of the Tx to the Rx.

Are there newer video that reflect the latest firmware and CPS?
No.

I've not had time to make any more videos. Its quite time consuming.

The internal AFC of the ADF7021 does not work correctly with pulsed TDMA signals as used by DMR. In fact the chip struggles to lock on these signals with or without AFC. Hence the need to fine tune the frequency to minimise the errors.

Re: Can't get into firmware update mode, has anything changed?

Firmware version 4.02.6 is an official Radioddity firmware not the OpenGD77 firmware. However, this sounds like the feature (or bug) in the official firmware which I'm afraid prevents the firmware being updated again, without taking the radio apart and uploading using a hardware programmer connecte...

Re: How to supply a patch ?

Pavel

You need to use the Github Pull Request system.

There are many places which explain how this work e.g. https://homes.cs.washington.edu/~mernst ... quest.html

Re: Can't get into firmware update mode, has anything changed?

I will chime in here... Radio off. Press/hold SK1 and SK2, turn radio on. Green light flashes rapidly, then goes out and radio turns on to regular display. Firmware is currently 4.02.6 Buttons both work fine during normal use. I inherited the radio. Might this happen if the previous owner did a res...

It could be a bug in the firmware, or potentially the codeplug may have some corruption which the firmware can't handle. If possible can you tr...

Re: CPS Update

CPS has been updated to fix a problem where the icons were missing from the navigation buttons on the TG List screen https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/OpenGD77CPS/releases/tag/R2020.08.01 Note. They were deleted by the development environment, Visual Studio, because it often gets confused becau...
