Re: HW issue with my radio - NOT receiving on VHF.
That's unfortunate - especially as you live so far away. I wouldn't mind having a spare UHF-only one if anyone can get it to me for $40 shipped .

Re: "Prompt" to "Silent" disables all audio signalling options
Not sure what you're trying to say but:
Found it!
"Options", "Sound Options", "Prompt"
Set that to "No Keys", other options are "Beep" and "Silent"

Can you edit a zone on the radio?
Can you edit a zone on the radio? I wanted to remove a channel from the zone that I use to scan with and can't figure out how to do that on the Radio?

Re: "Prompt" to "Silent" disables all audio signalling options

Re: Follow up on GPS for MD-9600
Just wanted to report that the GPS in my new RT-3S does work in the house but my even newer RT-90's GPS does not. I plan to dash mount the RT-90 so hope that will work well enough.

Re: Maximum Power on TYT-MD-9600
There is no Left/Right keys on the frontpanel, it's the rotary encoder which is assign to that, and it's no possible the make a long press using such kind of control. Thanks for the explanation. In the USA it's technically illegal to use a handheld mic while driving  but one is more likely t...
