Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

Make sure the usb card is connected before you start the application. If you start it from a console you will see some information about what audio input and output interfaces are being selected by default. One missing and important feature is being able to select the audio devices.

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

Good finding!

Probably what solved your audio problems is reinstalling pulse audio.

at-spi2-core adds some functionality for screen readers. It is nice if the dbus warning dissapears. I will check and add it to the instructions

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

Nice!

If pulse audio can run in the pi 0zero there is no apparent reason not to have audio. I will try to get a pi zero for testing.

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

I have tested with USB headsets and also a USB audio card (brand UGREEN) and both were detected as sound cards without installing any additional software.

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

With the pi 3 I use a logitech usb headset with mic. With the dk2 (stm32mp157-dk2) wich is the one that I use most of the time, I use Samsung in-ear earphones from an old phone and they work great.

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

Related to the md380-emu software, the one at this repository includes an option (-S) needed to run a udp socket server:

Changing TG is like doing a PTT, so if you open multiple TGs in a short time period you can get blocked.

Re: Side project, "DMR Station" network radio

usb ptt mic? please send me some information about it and i will check. There is support for hardware ptt via gpio ports. You need to know how gpio ports are named in your pi, and how to setup pullups or pulldowns.

Hi,
RPi0 has an ARM6 cpu. If you have enough spare time could you please compile DMRStation for ARM6 to test the SW on a RPi0?
Regards.
Here you can download a version compiled with -march=armv6, I have not been able to test it though.
