Re: Quansheng UV-K5 w/ an active development scene
After the K5 firmware he performed the same on the Retevis RT890 which uses many of the same components. Do you, know, if by any chance the decompilation happened in Ghidra and if so, if the decompiled project is accessible somewhere? There is Abbree AR-2520 which has GPS, 128kB/32kB CPU and up to ...

Re: G'Day Folks from VK4KHP
I was not able to TX ISS with normal 1/2 & 5/8 antennas nor SG-M507, neither on my very old RT3s which can output 8W in +W- mode nor with DM-1701, where I was not able to output more than ~4.8W. So you will probably need special antenna and/or AMP. But RX works nicely. As a side note, during the sal...

BTW in EU (Czechia) I get info that this item is unavailable in my location and I am unable to search for it. Maybe it does not conform to EU harmonics requirements?

Re: Add GPS to Baofeng DM-1701?
If you are trying to ask if the adding is possible, there was already a topic about there and the conclusion was there is not enough space in the case to place the GPS module there: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3022
It would be probably best not to create a new topic...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
Hi, Reading the posts I thought they said that an XML editor was used and the end tags had change and also something with the line ending That's what Daniel F1RMB expected when he found the issues with my file. What I think what the FireFox browser is doing is that it loads the XML DOM into memory a...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
Hi Roger, just to clarify (as it might have been lost in previous discussion), I did not use any XML editor, just edited it in standard vim/vimdiff, and then in gedit to have spell check marking the words (neither of them is modifying the XML this way). I was crosschecking everything against the Eng...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
Hi, the file you have sent me contains identical translation data with a few exceptions concerning XML file structure: Empty lines have been stripped (OK) Comments I have added have been stripped (probably intentional step) End of line markers are still <CR> not <CR><LF> as was the case in original ...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
OK, I will try to fix it locally. I think what happened was I have downloaded the original files in Firefox and it changed the formatting before I started editing. But I should be able to fix it myself faster hopefully, it is my fault, I did not expect that, do not bother yourself with it.

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
Are you sure? I have just edited the downloaded Czech.xml file in Gedit/VIM and the formatting should be the same as for English.xml (I am actually using vimdiff to compare them all the time). At one moment extra tab happened in first ~500 lines, but I have fixed it. Plus the <?xml version="1.0" enc...

Re: Updated localisation files 2024 01 04
Hello, I have translated the big missing portion of Czech CPS XML, hopefully I did not skip anything. Attached is the file with translation based on present Czech.xml and English.xml (which, BTW have two duplicate sections for PasswordForm and English also has for Utils section). EDIT: (broken becau...
