So the same question , are you using a non english version of windows and had you confirmed your cable was working before. Have you looked in the device manger to see if the GD77 appears?

I've just installed the python update script onto pi-star (ssh'd in and changed to r/w with 'rpi-rw'). I needed to apt install python-usb. and I had to rename the gdl file to the one required by the script (I think the script needs editing...) (oh and I ran sudo chmod +x on the script), placed the 7...

I notice the copper plate is to stop RFI , the pi however is wifi, surely this will have a negative effect?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure that still worked, but my friend managed to find a torx in his toolbox and managed to get inside the 77 to clean and reseat the cable. all good!

I have a friend who has 2 77's , one has the buttons stopped working , rather than taking it apart , he wants to use 1 as a hotspot, however we cannot force the radio into hotspot mode. I remember the old versions you could force by holding the black button down whilst powering on. What was the last...

Both my GD77's with '1709A'xxxx serial numbers work as follows: no power levels taken TX on 128 seemed ok tx on 177 seemed ok tx on 190 made my freq counter show 380 (second harmonic) tx on 280 made my freq counter show 560 (second harmonic) tx on 380 seemed ok tx on 560 seemed ok RX is a bit differ...

I've recently seen a similar problem which returned a .NET error (not on my machine). When the op repaired his .NET install with the fix tool all was fixed. anyone else seen similar issues....
