Re: Port to TYT UV380/UV390

I do have both MD-390 (the retevis RT8) and MD-UV390. Glad to help test once you have some releases out. Regarding my contact from Retevis, she has not given feedback yet about the possibility of getting review units--perhaps they've been busy dealing with the impact of COVID-19. But now that things...

Re: Port to TYT MD380

This should be interesting. You have my support (I can help with documentation, as necessary, as I am not into development).

Re: Should we have a weekly openGD77 net?

Fairly early on a Sunday morning in my TZ is the late evening in the UK and early evening in the east coast USA. However, I think this would be very early in the morning for Angelo, and also only the middle of the afternoon for the west coast USA. But if it was held at that time i.e Sunday for me a...

Re: Port to TYT UV380/UV390

I do have both platforms. MD380 as well as Retevis RT3, which is basically the MD390. I also have the MD-UV390. The MD-UV390 uses C6000, similar to the GD77. MD380 uses C5000 right? However, these have more documentation in terms of reverse-engineering. The MD-UV390 does not. I do recall that the MD...

Should we have a weekly openGD77 net?

Any thoughts? Maybe just to get to know each other? I'm thinking we could have a weekly topic, content, or guest for Q&A, but it could be a simple roundtable. We do have a BrandMeister TalkGroup, 98997. I host a daily club roll call at TG51518 at 0130H-0200H UTC, and I get around 15-20 checkins duri...

How are you dealing with the COVID-19 related lockdowns?

Hi everyone! Just thought to post here, so we can talk about how we are dealing with COVID-19. How is everyone doing? In my city, we are on enhanced community quarantine--on the second week now. The entire Luzon island in the Philippines is on such lockdown. We are required to stay at home, although...

Re: New channel edits not being saved

Thanks for the update. I listed this in the documentation to-do.

Also, regarding overwriting channels, that's a good idea, so we don't accidentally overwrite our existing channel details.

New channel edits not being saved

1. Under VFO mode, I saved analog frequency settings to new channel 2. Switched to channel mode. 3. FN-Green to edit channel details including name. 4. Pressed Green to save. 5. Item is renamed. 6. But when I switch channels, the item above is still "New Channel 35" I'm using March 15 firmware bc46565

Re: Update 15th March

Thanks. The installer tool should make things straightforward to new users.
