Re: Linux...?

I've used G4EML's codeplug utilities on Linux. Not a CPS, but frankly I'd rather use .csv files than a CPS anyway.

Re: Hello from the Western Burbs of Chicago

Hello!

My uncle Jim (K9RJ, SK) was a Ham of some reputation in Downer's Grove, not too much closer to Chicago from where you are. Welcome to the community!

I'll work up a patch that causes it to yield the None value for now, since DCS support is not ready yet and won't be for a little while longer.

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [4/5][GD-77]

It's a bug, though, if the firmware doesn't detect that it's DCS and tries to play something that's not a valid CTCSS tone. I'll see if I can repro and fix this. Confirmed the bug. Here's what you see when the channel is programmed to D023N. dcs-023n-as-ctcss.png This is happening because the firmw...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [4/5][GD-77]

Just upgraded to the latest code (1.54) I don't know if this was there before, I never ran into it, but I tried to program a repeater with digital CTCSS codes and that is a problem. There is nothing in the on radio UI for that and if I program it via the CPS, which allows me to program those I get ...

Re: DCS option

If DCS is only available in DMR, can re-use the CTCSS menu options for Rx and Rx as the DCS. Both CTCSS and DCS apply only to FM. DCS is a digital stream, but on a specific sub-audible tone 134.4Hz. It's sent as 23 golay encoded bits (for forward error correction of the code) that just keep playing...

Re: DCS option

I've been making more progress - I've tested and think I've settled on a lookup table for the encoder (should be 1KB - if that's a problem there are other ways). I have some user interface questions to resolve. In the codeplug CTCSS and DCS are stored in the same field (with a couple of high bits th...

Re: Prerelease 4th April

Personally I love the long press up to run the scan... ;) For me a difference is that I have hundreds of channels. Rather than manually configure my radio through the CPS I've written scripts that convert the regional repeater coordination database. I'm sure if I had only a few dozen repeaters conf...

Re: Prerelease 4th April

you can with quick individual presses  Not a real alternative  After trying out the new scan behavior, I like how it works and the look in VFO is good, but I don't like long-Up as the way it's started. I frequently step through channels (especially in the All Channels meta-zone) b...
