Re: Now have a bricked jumbosopt.

Bricked usually isn't permanent. There's probably a way to get it into a bootloader mode so you can reload the firmware. This isn't the right forum to get help with that though.

Re: DCS option

Not all DCS code works,at least one repeater near my location use 346N,but the OpenGD77 lacks it. Could anyone verify it?? Thanks!! [...] Meanwhile I'll take a look at if I can implement inverted DCS in the near future. I've implemented inverted DCS and submitted a pull-request against the developm...

Re: DCS option

D346N isn't a standard DCS code. That's because 346 is actually the inverse (in the convoluted way DCS is encoded) of 612, which is a standard DCS code. In other words, it's not possible for your radio to discriminate between a D612I (inverted) signal and a D346N (normal) signal. I just double-chec...

Calibrating Power?

Is there a guide describing how to calibrate power levels?
And are there relatively inexpensive tools to measure RF power that people like?

There's a repeater around 8km away that I allegedly hit really well when my radio says it's at 50mW so I'm wondering if my calibration is off.

Re: Base default band limits on radio ID?

BTW, and ID starting in "31" is not limited to one state in the United States. My RadioID starts with 31, and I'm in North Carolina. My apologies. It was 3153 that meant Washington State. See https://dmr-marc.net/FAQ/GSM-ID.html for the complete list of prefixes. And it's possible other schemes are...

Re: Base default band limits on radio ID?

Handling localized band limits is a waste of code and time, IMHO, as I repeat, this firmware is specifically designed for Hams, and Hams are responsible persons, they know their band plans, they know there are rules they must stick to, otherwise they can lose their licence. I proposed setting bette...

Re: Base default band limits on radio ID?

But the codeplug already has band limit fields and the CPS already supports it.

Re: Base default band limits on radio ID?

Well, I’m glad I asked before looking into it further. Should we change the default limits to the ones the hardware is advertised to support then? The consensus here seems to be that limits should be on only optionally.
