Re: Sight impaired amateurs

It just gets better and better Roger. I'm keeping many of the blind hams in the UK informed through the active elements web-site and many of them have already ordered their GD77 and will all soon be ready to go.

Hi Ian

Thats strange about the space bar.

The changes should have been limited to the firmware loader, I'll need to check what happened.
Nothing wrong Roger as I say it was just finger trouble my end it's all working fine.

Re: Sight impaired amateurs

Ian The version at the moment with the built in prompts is just for initial testing. In the next version, users will need to upload the voice prompts data pack via the CPS, because this will allow for multi-lingual voice prompts, like the on screen text has multiple versions. But this won't be work...

Re: Sight impaired amateurs

Hi Roger could it be possible to make a shortcut with a key, press it for a while, and turn the sounds on or off? it would be easier for blind people. Hi, why would you want to turn the sounds off ? The voice prompts only come if you hit the SK1 button and I would expect most people would be happy ...

Re: Sight impaired amateurs

Hi Roger, tested and all working fine for blind hams. I'll now test all the functions again including code plug creation and upload etc. but I don't expect to find any problems. Many thanks. 73, Ian DJ0HF/G3ULO I should be getting the radio in a few hours. Do you have a list of what keys I need to ...

Re: Sight impaired amateurs

Ian Daniel has now updated the Firmware loader in the CPS to have the same functionality as the standalone loader. I've rebuild the CPS with his changes and have created a new installer https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/OpenGD77CPS/releases/download/R20200527/OpenGD77CPSInstaller.exe Hi Roger,...
