Re: 1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

Hi Roger, 2.5kHz / 5kHz deviation are ideal values.. A compare was today not possible - i had no feasibility in the lab to change the firmware and only little time..sorry However, the deviation was sufficient to activate numerous analog repeater - i think the main problem was solved herewith. But i ...

Re: 1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

did the deviation measurement today (with latest development release):

@12,5kHz bandwith(dev. should be 2,5kHz):
tonecall: 1,9kHz
DTMF: 1,7kHz

@25kHz bandwith (dev. should be 5kHz):
tonecall: 3,7kHz
DTMF: 3,4kHz

Note: Voice deviation is ok @12,5kHz & @25kHz bandwith

Re: 1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

Of course I will (as promised) measure the deviation tomorrow at the lab..

At a first quick check (by ear ;) )the calltone & the DTMF seems to be ok now.

Re: 1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

The channel bandwidth setting is 12.5kHz, because it´s normaly used here in germany @2m .. (At bandwidth 12.5kHz the FM deviation should be 2.5kHz) I had today a litte free time in the lab, so i measured the deviation of my GD-77: At voice the measured deviation is proper (about the 2.5kHz I expecte...

Re: 1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

I did some measurements: the frequency of the 1750Hz tonecall seems to be correct.
Maybe the problem is caused by a too low FM deviation (only at the tonecall, voice seems to be ok).

Unfortunately i can`t measure the deviation at the moment..

1750Hz Tone not exact? FM-Repeater problem

A friend reported to me, that he can't open one of our local FM-repeater with his GD-77. I did a quick test on a FM-repeater near, also have a problem to trigger the repeater with the 1750Hz Tone. The 1750Hz tone on my GD-77 sounds slight differently than on my FT-65 (and the repeater respond correc...

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

Thanks Roger.

Did a quick test on our local repeater - seems to work well.

But i noticed that a repeater slot override on a private call contact (set in the CPS) is ignored by the radio. But that happens also with older firmware..
So i´m not shure its a bug or not..
