Re: Public Beta (2021 10 02)

Running fine on both of my GD77 radios with both DMR TX/RX and my usual analog scanning chores. Thank you Roger, Daniel, and Ian.

Re: Public Beta (2021 09 14)

Roger and Daniel,

The new CPS loaded the 9-14-2021 firmware perfectly. Both of my GD77 radios are running smoothly. I like the new menu arrangement very much. Everything I do with my two radios is working very well.

Thank you and 73,

Re: [From May 29th] New ongoing "Development" version has been created

You can do this now Steve. In "Display Options" use the L or R arrow keys to set the order to your preference: TA/Ct/DB or TA/DB/Ct. That should do it.

Re: Is there any intention to continue this wonderful project?

The feature to limit the number of DMR IDs based on date used to come from ham-digital.org, but AFIK that service was shut down when they stopped being the registrar for some parts of the world. It would be good if we could get that data from somewhere but I don't know anywhere which now offers it ...

Re: Is there any intention to continue this wonderful project?

Roger, Both of my GD77 radios are updated and running fine. I love Daniel's "scan on boot" feature! I'm planning to play with the added DMR-ID features after another cup of coffee this morning. Thank you to all involved with the restructuring of this amazing project. 73, Rob W1AEX [Edit] DMR-ID prog...

Re: OpenGD77 CPS download location changed

Thank you Roger. Also, thank you for everything that was done with the amazing OpenGD77 project. You, Daniel, Alex and many others took these tinker-toy radios that were at best amusing and annoying when they came out of the box and turned them into incredible workhorses that are now capable of amaz...

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

Hi Roger,

Both of my GD77s are running fine with the April 2 release. I am fine with "Dwell" as the descriptor for adjusting the amount of time the radio pauses on a frequency while scanning. Seems like an intuitive label for this function.

Thanks for this release and 73,

Re: Scan speed versus sensitivity

Hi Roger, I've loaded the April 2 2021 v6 firmware into one of my GD77 radios and it is running fine. Seems plenty fast to me and I would not know it was slower if you had not said it is. I've only been running it for about 30 minutes but it seems to behave nicely while scanning analog and DMR chann...
